My xglobe pagexglobe is a small tool that displays the earth globe as a background, à la xearth. Two kudos to xglobe compared to xearth :
However, two problems :
These are mostly terminated, with polishing in order to use xglobe under KDE2 with QT2. On the autoconf battlefront, I used the kdetoys package autoconf files (acinclude.m4), which should ease (future ?) integration into kdetoys. See the ChangeLog for details. So, enough saying, you have at your disposal the tarball (xglobe-0.51.tar.bz2) along with the source RPM (xglobe-0.51-1.src.rpm). No binary, easy to rebuild. Please note that a map (in fact the one included in xglobe original 0.5 tarball) is included in both packages. If time available, I'll make packages/tarballs without it. 09/09/2002 : some news !
Have fun, and many thanks to Thorsten for the original xglobe. Jerome (jerome@fenal.org) |
